Broken...by Lillith
We were so strong once,
now we are broken.
I gave you my love first ,
in the form of a token.
An object that was supposed to afford you protection
instead adorns the body
that is just a reflection.
Of the beautiful woman I took as my wife,
the one I intended to spend the rest of my life.
But a cruel twist of fate changed our direction,
a lie believed that should have been rejected.
I set out to save you, decieved and enraged,
the place that it lead to I write on this page
A place in my heart that is broken and bare,
the place once filled with love because you were there.
How ever will I go on without you my love,
your spirit as pure and as white as the dove.
Though even if you were with me,
I doubt that you'd find the same man
that now you have left here behind.
For into exile I went and soon found my old Master
had come after me in an attempt to end this disaster.
My mind twisted and broken by a Sith I'd befriended
caused me to fight against Obi till it all had soon ended.
For as I write this poem I am scarred and I am covered
and destined never again to share my life with a lover.
The flames of that exile brought out the beast in my friend
as it also did I and we couldn't amend.
What was now broken between him and I
could only mean that one of us would most surely die.
We fought and we followed one another around
till I fell burned and broken upon the hot ground.
Oh Padme my love, how did this all come about
looking back now it's hard to figure it out.
All I know is I miss you and want to go back
to when we were strong and our love still intact.
I love you and want you back in my arms
for you were the last one I ever meant to do harm.
Oh Padme'...please my love, forgive me...forgive.
I only acted in the hopes to ensure you would live...just live.
